Aluminium is non-flammable so it does not catch fire easily. Also due to its high strength, it does not suffer dents very easily and can withstand falling objects to a certain level. This makes aluminium sheet safe against fires and makes them effective against rain, snow or hail storms.
Aluminium is an extremely versatile metal with a number of advantages, it is recognised for being both lightweight and flexible. It can be cast, melted, formed, machined and extruded meaning that it can be manufactured into a variety of shapes and then subsequently fabricated to suit a whole variety of uses.
Aluminum comes in three basic types: 1100, 3003, and 6061. The grade of the aluminum will determine the end-use application and price point.
Aluminium sheets have a wide range of applications within the construction and housing industry. Some of the many uses of aluminium include gutters, siding, roofing and cladding. After steel, aluminium is the second most used metal in buildings.
When looking at the three types of aluminium products, the only difference is the thickness. The thickest product being aluminium plate followed by sheet and finally, coil being the thinnest. However, the exact thicknesses separating each category depends on a few factors.
The standard thickness for aluminum trim coil stock typically ranges from 0.019 to 0.024 inches. However, it's important to note that specific manufacturers and suppliers may offer variations in thickness, so it's best to confirm with the supplier for the exact specifications.
Aluminium Chequered Plates are utilized in architectural, maritime, and aesthetic applications since they are low maintenance and non-corrosive. The chequered plate is a highly adaptable substance with several uses.
